TWELVE HOURS:
The Online Art of Brad Brace

by Amy Jarrell

An example of a past (and possible future) 12hr-ISBN-JPEG image

The premise of Brad Brace’s 12hr-ISBN-JPEG Project seems simple enough : Every twelve hours a different greyscale image is propelled online.

The images that we view within this design have been gradually acquired, selected, and re-sequenced over time, sometimes using the same image multiple times, others never to be seen again. Always available to be traded, saved, re-posted or published by spectators, the specific sequence of photographs have been composed for more than 12 years’ worth of 12-hour postings.
